⛏️ ZAK Miner
Real SHA-256 proof of work, in your browser. Find hashes that start with zeros to earn game ZAK. Every find can be checked with sha256sum.
Mining is off. Nothing is hashed until you press Start mining. It then uses at most the CPU limit you pick (25% of one core by default), stops when you press Pause, and stops in background tabs unless you allow it. Close the tab and it stops completely.
Upgrades
Upgrades raise your rig's hash-rate cap. The real limit is your device: once the cap is above what your CPU can do, extra upgrades won't make it hash faster.
Hard fork
How rewards work
A find with z leading hex zeros pays 16z−2 game ZAK, times your pool and fork bonuses. Two zeros pay 1, three pay 16, four pay 256. Each extra zero is 16 times rarer, so on average every zero level is worth the same; big finds are just lumpier.

Game ZAK lives in your browser only. It isn't real ZAK, can't be withdrawn or sent, and has no value. The hashing is real: about one in 256 SHA-256 hashes starts with two hex zeros, and each extra zero is 16 times rarer.
